Hi there

I really must be stupid: I'm playing the demo and just can't get somewhere! I'm at the first scene, nothing at all has happened. There are a few rooms, I can move around, and the map shows that I should go up to a room at the far corner of the scene. I just can't go up there.

What am I doing wrong?

You could look for a demo walkthru, but here's your answer. Go to the right of the screen, move the block so you can climb the ledge, whip the extrusion and you're there.

I assume you mean in the first room. If so, there is a pool to one side of the room. Beyond the pool is a ledge that you can walk on. The box is there. It's not a little box. It's as tall as indy. First, you pull the box out from the wall and then push it under the ledge.
