This is probably a stupid question but... here it goes...

I'm in the Lava Canyon where there are two movable rocks and a third on the second level. I cannot move the rocks into a position where I can reach the third. Can anyone help me out with this?

i'm not quite sure where you are exactly, but try this:

pull resp. push the 2 boulders at the very end of the ledge (where you came from). Now you should be able to proceed and climb up. Turn around ....
