I installed GF full install on Windows XP and the Start Menu and Desktop shortcuts were never installed. I put in my CD and clicked Star Game and the screen went blank and the error reporting came up. I sent the report but there was no solution. I installed the patch and nothing else happened.

How can I fix this, I can do the shortcuts but just not how to get it to work

Never actually used it as i use 98 and not XP for my games...

But the problem that lucasarts games don't work in Xp has been helped by a team that made the program Scummvm...try it....and tell us :)

ScummVM doesn't actually support Grim Fandango, because Grim Fandango's not actually a Scumm game.

There's also a load of non-obvious stuff regarding how to make Grim Fandango work in the sticky (http://lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29995), if you haven't fixed it yet.

I've only just got XP, so the only Lucasarts games I've tried are EFMI. Hope you get it working!
