problem with xp and crashing

when i start the game i dont c the cut scene
and when i play the game it crash's on a cut scene sumtimes.

Probably due to XP again. As I've done with other posters, I suggest you download the patch and copy the Grim Fandango files from the CD to your hard drive (read the readme from the game and patch update).
