i finally got jedi academy (woOt for getting a job and therefore money!), and after installing it, no characters show up...they are all invisible. also the lightsaber doesn't apear and the attack button does nothing...

Install the 1.01 patch and latest drivers for your graphic card, turning off some video options like Dynamic Glow for example may help.
