900mhz AMD Athlon
60 GB HD
128MB SDRAM
32MB nVidia Riva TNT 2 Pro
Direct x 8
Windows 2000

When i start up Rogue Squadron, the game freezes randomly throughout the game, sometimes in the intro, sometimes during the mission selection etc. etc.
I have the latest detonator drivers, i patched the game.
Also, when i click on Play Rogue Squadron on the menu it says pls install direct x, when i try to install it, the cd says the setup file isn't there when it is!!! and i can't start the game, unless i do it manually! What should i do for both these problems????

its not supposed to work with either of these.

try downgrading to Directx 7

Win2K is probably your problem. I did manage to get RS working perfectly with DX 8. See earlier threads.
