Anyway, I believe the swoop races are hard coded into the game. Making it impossible to change or mod.

No, you misunderstand.
D3 and Kitty Kitty have done some swoop stuff, but they aren't doing anything currently (nothing wip) afaik.
Papership's doing a secret project (apparently) but that shouldn't stop you from making a never ending swoop race if you want one. :D

Yes just because someone else is working on a project that is similar doesn't mean you shouldn't also make something. I mean look at all the Revan's item mods. Some are better than others in my opinion but they're all nice to have for variety.

Lol... I actually had a mod request which used swoop mini game engine to make another mini game- traveling with the Ebon Hawk through space then going in hyperspace :D...
Er.. I don't see the point in an endless track... Cause swoop is all about racing, an endless track takes that away...
