Is it possible to change a NPC'S name via script?

I want an npc to tell me his name via dialog and then a script fires that makes his name change is this possible?

You could make a script that removes him and spawns a new one just named (new utc)

nah it dont matter anymore every one will just be like hey bellator and he'll say in a dark voice "it's darth bellator" lol
