Hi guys, check this tutorial out, it's for Quake III (which I don't own) but I want this effect for my map

 I've created the brush, but what textures can I use? I can't seem to find one that will work!! Any ideas?

    i think the yavin set has some light fixture(sp?) textures that emit light (look for a light w/ a white box around the texture)
  
 
  
  
    Getting a light emitting texture isn't the problem, it's finding a texture to put on my "light box" that's the problem, someone must know

    the "nodraw" texture is in the system folder...but i need the "2dusted" textur?`(the blackone)
  
 
  
  
    Yeah I found the no draw texture, hmmmm.....someone must know!!

    Under Carin theres some base wall light things and theres a few more that begin with the word light (foreget theier names). Is this the kinda stuff your lookin for?
  
 
  
  
    Well ive checked through the texture sets and i cant seem to find any fx/textures that are used for this effect also im about %80 done in SP and i have'nt seen this effect used at all sofar.....
 
 if you ppl really want to use this effect i can build you a custom texture/shader set for you

 ok i recall seeing it on static models but not from light fitting's 
 humm i'll give the mine lights another check its been a few game hours since i played that level

    Gizmo, second level of the game, where you sneak into the mine facility, there are bright, long beams cominh from spotlights. :) And now I'm off home!! :)
