I think they have different colors or soemthing. The original Slave 1 was more green and red. This one was more blue and silver. ;)

No the design was different.the ep5 slave 1 is very ugly compared to the ep2 slave 1.

I have no idea why I never bought the Falcon, I see it all the time on Ebay but last Isaw they were going for $250-270.
The ISD is huge, it's more then 3 feet long and about 20 inches wide. It dwarfs my blockade runner.
I hate to move it when I work on for fear it will fall apart as it is hard to find a place to pick it up from.
So far it feels like it weighs a good 10 pounds if not more. the instructions book is 224 pages. Last night I got the last of the "decks" put on. I just have to get the bridge/control tower on and I'll be close to done.
I have taken a few pictures of it but they aren't developed yet and we have no digital camera. I try to buy some film for an old poloroid camera ad scan in some pictureso I can post them.
Has anyone gotten any of the new sets they just release, with Jabba's Palace and such?

Thisis what scares me everytime i go to work on my ISD. I know if I drop it or it falls I'll have to start al over. The main panals are held on by those little magnets so it's not real seccure. :(

ahh she's all back together now. it took me 3 hours to repair it :), the worst bit was i had a piece left over ! i had to go through the instructions step by step untill i found where it went :D

I too highly doubt it. I have about 20 hours into it and I still need to finish the commandbridge,radar domes and what not, plus the mini blockade runner...
It takes 15 minutes just to find certain peices sometime. besides, putting it together is half the fun, why rush it.

Lego sets are much better than action figures - you can take them apart and rebuild them - it makes me coming back for more.
we are yet to recieve the new sets here in australia, these are exciting times because all the stores are putting big discounts on their current stock to make way for the new stuff.
i purchased 2 more final duel 1's ( imperial officer, luke, stormtrooper ) for $9 AU each.

I completely agree with you on Lando and Mace, they should have been made a long time ago. I'd also like to see some more alien species figs too, maybe just in a set of 5 minifigs or so of different species (Rodian, Twi'Lek, Duros, Zabrak, Chiss, Wookie, Sullustan, etc. )
