I'm not sure about the area lighting issue however you should be able to export the model to ascii with mdlops import it with nwmax into gmax/3dsmax. delete the objects then export from gmax/3dsmax and use mdlops read/write function to recompile the...  [Read More]

the problem with gmax's importing of 3ds file formats is that it can only handle some of the older versions of the file format. 3ds files from newer version of 3DSmax and some of the other modelling programs sometimes crash on import. I've found this...  [Read More]

That's pretty much what I'm saying. The animations for body models are tied into a master model file. However most animations get fouled up on import/export. So untill the model format is completely cracked the community is SOL....  [Read More]
